Steve Madden Women's Skyler Flat Sandal
Reviewing the Steve madden travel flat sandal this is what they look like they buckle up around the ankle and they have that cute rock stud detail. I’m sure that you've seen these shoes all over the place Instagram wherever so I’m going to talk about the pros that.
If found the cons that I found talk about sizing and just some other considerations.
That are factoring into whether. I keep them or not so let's start with the pros actually let's start with a disclaimer there's no wrong opinion on these shoes. I you love them awesome, if you don't love them awesome and that's all so back to the pros the first pro.
For the cons though, I think that these shoes are slippery that
would be my first con. I feel like these ridges right here. you can kind of see
them but if you feel them with your finger they're actually kind of hard to
detect. So when I walk in them I would find that I was like really kind of
gripping my toes. it would stay on and that I wouldn't fall down I thought
about adding hot glue strips here on the bottom to create more traction but I
mean I think that if I knew that going into the purchase.
I wouldn't have purchased
them the next con would be specific to this shoe just because this is the clear
version right here so it's got this plastic. the plastic seems like it won't
last um I could see this breaking pretty easily however they do make this shoe
with straps that have leather underneath the rock studs and I think that
would be a safer alternative the last consideration is specific to just me.
Is that they are really cute in my opinion I feel like it's wearing jewelry on your feet it's super cute i like the rock stuff detail i have this detail on some other shoes and I also think this would be the second pro that they're really comfortable. They have kind of a squishy footed. I would say all in all very nice shoe and it's comfortable and it’s cute.
There are the pros the next is not really a pro or a con it's just a fact for sizing, so I would say go to maybe a half size smaller or your normal size, definitely don't size up.
I am between two sizes typically. I got the smaller of my two sizes and there was still Extra room. I personally like to have a little extra room in the heel, so I would say half size down or true to size now.
It's not a knock on the shoe it's just something that I’m
considering in my decision of keeping them or not and that is I am just not in
the season of life for shoes that don't slip on I’m a very busy mom with little
kids and I need to be able to like put my shoes on without my hands. that is
why one of the reasons why I’m not going to keep them is because I have to wrap
them around and then buckle them and I just know myself.
well enough to know that i
won't i do see though that Steve madden has made a similar sandal and it is a
slide and it still as rock studs but it just doesn't have the buckle. I could
do it hands-free so wrapping it up i think that if you love these shoes you
should keep them they're adorable they look like jewelry on your feet like.
I mentioned before they can
dress up any outfit and if you're in a season of life. where you don't mind
buckling your shoes you go right ahead and you just you wear these shoes for me
I know that I’m not going to right now and that I’m going to reach for
other shoes instead of wearing this particular pair so while I’m a little sad
to let them go.
I think it's for the best it's one of those it's not you it's me moments but anyway that is
my honest review on the Steve madden women's flat travel sandal. let me know what
